It’s hard to describe how I am feeling right now. Proud. Honored. Grateful. Disappointed.
We put everything we had into this campaign. And although we weren’t successful, we made our mark. We changed the conversation and raised expectations for this office. Importantly, we ran the campaign we wanted to run and did so with honor and respect for the other candidates and voters.
Because of your help, more people understand how important the City Attorney’s Office is. More people know how critical City government is in addressing issues like domestic violence, gun violence prevention, and improving quality of life.
So I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU.
Thank you for your support. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your investment in our message. Thank you for believing that it is time for San Diego to have a City Attorney that protects ALL San Diegans.
Thank you for believing in me.
The experience of the past two years has been amazing for me and my family. We have met incredible people, been witness to history during the presidential campaign and fallen more in love with our City than ever before. We leave this race hopeful and optimistic of San Diego’s bright future.
